Over one month later, and we still cannot stop talking about Gabe and Julia and how much they made a difference throughout the entirety of our wedding day! Immediately, you can tell how professional they are and that they are clearly experienced. Once we got comfortable with each other, they made this very anxious bride feel completely taken care of. I had the pleasure of working with Gabe for a family photo shoot this past week. At first I wasn't sure how my introverted family was going to act in front of the camera, but from minute one my mother, father, sister, and wife felt very comfortable. 2020 has been a really tough year. Easily the biggest highlight for us was our wedding which just preceded the onset of the COVID pandemic. And we will be eternally thankful to Gabe “G2” Cariola and the entire Philip Gabriel Photography team for the huge role they played in making our day so special. Gabe immediately put us at ease. We did an engagement shoot with him 9 Months before the wedding and it was a great warm up for the main event. For those of you who are a bit shy in front of the camera, Gabe is so easy to work with and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Our wedding was in January, and Gabe had the not so easy task of whisking us around Old City Philadelphia, trying to keep us warm and getting great shots—to say he and his second shooter succeeded is an understatement. You really feel special as multiple photographers, lighting specialists and others make sure your day goes perfectly. We’re not even sure how Gabe got some of the shots during the ceremony—he must have been hanging off the ceiling like Spiderman! He’s also got a great sense of humor and is a good sport, which is very important when you’ll be spending all day together and he has to put up with family members not always sticking to the meticulously planned out photo order! We were so happy with how the shots came out. We’re working with Nicole now on our album and can’t wait to see it. I know we’ll be coming back the next time we need lifetime memories. We got married on 12/3/2022. Gabe, Virginia, and Hank were our photographers and they were amazing. They captured everything from getting ready to the ceremony to the reception. They took photos of the tiny details, including our rings, my jewelry, the wedding invitation, our shoes, his cufflinks. This team is 100000% worth it! My husband and I loved every second working with Gabe and the team from the moment we started screening potential vendors and our first consultation with Gabe. The team was amazing to work with from start to finish - very detail oriented in the planning process to establish our photo shot list and create a timeline for the day, but was also amazingly flexible on the day of when some rain derailed our original plans. Gabe C came up with a great back up plan for photos under cover during the rain and was able to sneak in more shots that we really wanted outside when the rain cleared later in the day - they all turned out beautifully! Monica and Lauren were unbelievable photographers. They were personable, low-key, and had a great eye during the entire wedding day. They were both very familiar with our wedding venue and did an incredible job capturing candid moments as well as staged photos that were magazine worthy. Gabe is a "10/10 would-recommend-must-hire" type of vendor. I mean this with sincerity: he completed our day. His photos are absolutely stunning and capture the most special moments. He makes you SO comfortable in front of the camera and the comfort level allows you to look your best and most real self in every photo. He brought so much fun to our day it was unimaginable. He made us laugh until we nearly cried, boosted our confidence for different poses, kept everything running smoothly and on time, and even went as far as to talk the Philadelphia police into a police escort for us to arrive at the reception on time when we got stuck in the middle of a protest. What photographer does that??!! The number of comments we received from guests about how much they loved our photographer during our wedding was absurd - he was engaging with all the guests and never sat still. Whether he was laying down on the street to get the best angle or sprinting over to a candid moment, he was on his game the entire time (as was the entire rest of his team!). He took the time to understand who our immediate family was so he could capture their best moments. He made our grandparents feel like movie stars, made us as the bride and groom feel relaxed and at ease, and captured all the best shots of all of our loved ones. I would highly recommend that anyone high Gabe and his team for their event. Gabe and his amazing team made our wedding day so special from start to finish! Gabe is a family friend of my parents and extremely well known in the wedding scene throughout the Philadelphia and greater Philadelphia region. We knew right away we wanted to book Gabe and his team without a question. They did not disappoint. My now husband and I performed aerial acts at the 21st street Armory and Gave had photos to show us! Small world. After sticking with us through 2 postponed wedding dates, our day finally arrived and it was a HOT one. 93 degrees to be exact. Gabe and his team did not complain once and did everything in their power to make sure they got the best shots. From Olivia pinning my veil in, to Gabe laying flat on the floor of the church and Broad Street, to helping wipe makeup off of my husbands jacket, they were just incredible. In moments where I could have panicked, they eased the mood with their calm presence and professionalism. We had a very large wedding party and with a large wedding party comes some chaos when trying to take photos. Gabe listened to everything I wanted and gave suggestions when needed. Everyone was so great dealing with all of the different personalities in the family and they were all so fun to work with! Gabe and team definitely helped make our day extra special and perfect. Could not rant enough!!
If you want to have a wedding day go perfect with regards to your wedding photos than hire Philip Gabriel. The team were perfect for my daughter and family. Professional, accommodating, funny, attentive and the pictures are beautiful. They exceeded our expectations and can't thank them enough for providing beautiful memories of a wonderful day!
Our wedding was 10/13/18, and wedding planning sure was stressful! The crew at Philip Gabriel made this whole process so much easier on me. The months leading up to the wedding I had been communicating with Anya a whole lot. She answered emails efficiently and called me to answer my questions. She put me at ease when I was feeling concerned about how the day would flow and assured me there was nothing to worry about. Well, she was right! These guys made my wedding day perfect! Gabe Fredericks guided us through Old City, Philadelphia, snapping photos of us in the most beautiful locations. The afternoon was seamless, and FUN! His sense of humor had us laughing the entire day. The crew made me and my husband, our bridal party and families feel comfortable throughout the day, as smiling for photos for hours can be strenuous, but the time passed by effortlessly. I just received all of my photos about a week ago. As if the day feeling perfect wasn't enough, these photos are absolutely magnificent. True pieces of art. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thank you guys for not just being wonderful photographers but also wedding planners, tour guides, and comedians to boot! We love Philip Gabriel!
We cannot say enough amazing things about Philip Gabriel Photography. We used them at our wedding on June 9, 2018 at the Crystal Tea Room we could not have asked for a better photography team! Gabe Fredericks and his entire team were absolutely AMAZING! They were all so much fun to be around and helped make the entire day go perfect. Anya was awesome and extremely responsive through the entire planning process and was so helpful throughout the entire wedding day as well! Gabe made sure to capture every moment of the day. He was lying down in the middle of the street getting the most incredible photos and we can’t thank them enough for capturing our special day. If they are available for your date, book them immediately! You will not regret it! I will definitely be using them in the future!
If I could give more than 5 stars for Philip Gabriel Photography, I would!! They were all so fun and easy to work with! I highly recommend them to anyone who needs professional photos! We genuinely laughed all day and they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera! Our whole bridal party had a blast taking pictures. I cannot wait to see the finished product :)
I used Philip Gabriel Photography for my wedding June 9th, 2018 at the Bellevue in Philadelphia. The specific photographer at my wedding was Gabe Cariola of the two Gabe's. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience from start to finish with the company, especially Anya, who was so incredibly helpful every step along the way. I would use them again 100x over, and will likely use them again in the future! They are honest, respond quickly, and were a pleasure to work with. I have not seen the images yet, but have no doubt that they will be incredible. They were great about making the timeline and giving guidance on where to take pictures with adjustments that day. Gabe was so professional and had the best sense of humor, making everyone (especially my mom who hates taking pictures) at ease throughout the day. He was quick and efficient. I had not met him before that day and he was quick on his toes about making good decisions about our timeline according to that day. If you want to have fun with professionals on your big day and be able to relax as well has have a company that communicates very well with you, don't hesitate to book them! You will not be disappointed!
