When it comes to wedding photography, Philadelphia offers an incredible mix of historic charm, soaring architecture, and romantic greenery. As local photographers who have spent over two decades capturing love stories across this beautiful city, we are often asked: “Where should we take our wedding portraits?”
While Philly is packed with hidden gems and cozy cobblestone side streets, there are a few iconic spots that never fail to deliver breathtaking results. From epic, grand scale architecture or intimate garden vibes, here are five of our absolute favorite wedding portrait locations in Philadelphia.
1. The Rodin Museum
If you love the romance of a classic European getaway but want to stay right here in Pennsylvania, the Rodin Museum is an absolute dream.
Tucked away along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, this spot offers elegant, French-garden vibes. The symmetry of the manicured hedges, the reflective pool, and the stunning limestone architecture provide a soft, timeless backdrop. It’s perfect for intimate, quiet couple portraits where the focus is entirely on your connection.
Philly Photo Tip: The archways and stone walls here act as natural frames, making it incredibly easy to capture classic, editorial-style portraits.

2. Logan Circle (Logan Square)
Just down the street from the Rodin Museum sits Logan Circle, home to the magnificent Swann Memorial Fountain.
This location is all about dynamic energy, water elements, and beautiful symmetry. Having the rushing fountain waters in the background adds a sense of movement and romance to your photos. Plus, because it sits directly on the Parkway axis, you get spectacular, sweeping views looking up toward the Art Museum in one direction, and down toward the city skyline in the other. It’s a wonderful spot to give your wedding album a sense of true Philadelphia scale.
3. The Philadelphia Museum of Art

What’s more iconic then getting a photo next to the Rocky Statue?
There is a reason the Philadelphia Museum of Art is a staple for local couples. Its grand facade, towering marble columns, and classic sculptures bring an unmatched level of sophistication and drama to wedding portraits.
While the front steps offer that legendary, sweeping view of the city, we also love exploring the sides and back of the museum. The grand balconies, spacious stone plazas, and art deco styling let us mix high-fashion grandeur with candid, romantic moments.
4. City Hall
For couples who want the ultimate, unmistakable “Philly” shot, City Hall is a non-negotiable.
Standing in the center of Broad Street with City Hall towering behind you is a rite of passage for Philadelphia newlyweds. But the magic doesn’t stop in the middle of the street! The intricate archways underneath City Hall provide incredible stone textures and dramatic lighting. If the weather takes a turn on your wedding day, the deep stone breezeways provide fantastic, fully sheltered spaces that will keep your photos stunning.
5. The Merchant Exchange Building & Old City Cobblestones
If your style leans a little more romantic, historic, and effortlessly timeless, you absolutely have to head over to Old City. While there are countless charming nooks in this neighborhood, the Merchant Exchange Building is our crown jewel.
With its striking curved facade, grand Corinthian columns, and stunning marble work, this 19th-century landmark brings an old-world European elegance straight to Philadelphia. Because it’s surrounded by original, rugged cobblestone streets, it gives you a gorgeous texture underfoot that beautifully contrasts with a pristine wedding gown or a sharp tuxedo.
