Eight Amazing Years of Memories with the Bower Family!

Eight years ago we had the honor of documenting Rachel and Chase’s incredible wedding day at the Rittenhouse Hotel, and since then we have loved watching their beautiful family grow. From Eleanor and Grant’s newborn sessions, first birthday sessions, mini sessions and most recently porch portraits! Rachel was kind enough to share her experience in working with our team over the years!
“We met first in the summer of 2011 and I distinctly remember our initial interactions being so incredibly positive and loving Gabe’s energy and enthusiasm.
During our engagement session in the fall of 2011, he made my “very reluctant to take engagement photos (or any photos)” significant other comfortable and, dare I say it, he enjoyed himself too! We left the shoot that day and I remember Chase saying “he’ll make taking wedding photos fun”. And he was right! Our friends and family still speak about how Gabe was flat on his stomach in the middle of Broad Street so he could get the perfect shot. When our wedding photos came back, everyone (including us) were shocked at how many incredibly personal images were captured, despite us barely noticing Gabe and Gabe all night while we danced. The Gabe duo also met my incredibly crazy request to try to get pictures of as many of our guests as possible. They literally captured at least one image of every.single.person.
It has been a no brainer to go back to Gabe and team as we’ve had other life events, like newborn sessions for both Eleanor and Grant (both have canvases from those shoots on their bedroom walls), and numerous family shoots over the years. I often joke with Gabe and Monica that my house would be a lot less decorated without them!! I struggle each year to change over any photos. I also can’t thank Gabe and Monica enough for being so fun and energetic because if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be able to get annual family photos. All I have to say to Chase is, it’s just a quick shoot with Gabe / Monica and he (less begrudgingly) agrees. And smiles for the camera!
It might sound corny, but truly, the Philip Gabriel team is a part of our extended family and I’m so grateful to have them in our lives. I’ll recommend them any and every day to anyone that will listen. Not only are they wildly talented, but their kindness and energetic spirit makes for enjoyable interactions year after year.
It has truly been a privilege to get to know and photograph their amazing family over the years and we cannot wait for so many more to come. Thank you so much Bower family!!
