Kate and Drew’s Fairytale Wedding at the Crystal Tea Room
Summer may be almost over, but there is no end to our obsession with Kate and Drew’s Crystal Tea Room wedding photos. Their wedding was like something from a fairytale, and so is their love story!
“Drew and I first met in 7th grade. Drew was a new student at school, and while I thought he was cute (but short) and he had a crush on me, we were both extremely shy and didn’t interact much beyond being lab partners in science class. After two years together in middle school, our paths led us in different directions, and it wasn’t until 12 years later that we reconnected, all thanks to a chance swipe on the dating app, Bumble. As soon as we started hanging out, we both knew it was the start of something special, and it was our shared love of Disney (as well as his growth spurt!) that sealed the deal. Needless to say, it was no surprise that we got engaged at our “happy place” and wanted to incorporate elements of Disney into our big day.”
During a hot day in July, this beautiful couple managed to stay cool, calm, and collected. The whole day went off without a hitch thanks to all-star planner Jennifer Supper from Kaleidoscope, Inc.!
Kate and Drew both got ready at the Ritz with help from their family and friends. Kate looked absolutely stunning thanks in part to the wonderful Dina Alon, who did her hair and makeup for the big day. Kate was breathtaking in her Isabelle Armstrong dress purchased from The Wedding Shoppe.
After everyone was picture perfect, they headed over to the magnificent St. John the Evangelist to say their “I do’s”. This particular ceremony was extra special since the groom’s father was the officiant! As an ordained deacon, Drew’s father was able to be a part of the entire mass and gave a beautifully personal sermon. Hearing this father’s pride throughout the service was so special.
After they officially tied the knot, the couple made their way over to the gorgeous Crystal Tea Room. Beautifully adorned with floral arrangements from The Rhoads Garden, Kate and Drew danced the night away with family and friends with the help of their band, LA Starz from EBE who kept the party rocking all night!
Kate’s sister gave an amazing toast, recalling heartwarming and hilarious childhood stories. Sibling speeches are THE BEST! Thanks to the wonderful team from Cinemacake, Kate and Drew will be able to relive these wonderful moments, as well as so many others from their wedding day, for years to come.

While we were certainly pleased with their level of talent and professionalism, it was Gabe 2 and Monica’s dedication to their art and to us, their clients, that impressed us most. Gabe 2 and Monica worked diligently to ensure that every single detail of our day was perfect, like by lying down on the streets of Philly and dealing with angry cab drivers just to capture the “right” lighting, angle, and moment, and even extending their workday by an hour so that we could use City Hall at night as a stunning backdrop for some of our photos. We have truly loved reliving all of the moments, both big and small, that made our wedding day so special through the photos that Gabe 2 and Monica took, and we cannot thank them enough for all they did to help make the day even more perfect for us.
Celebrating with a couple on their wedding day is one of our favorite things to do. Being able to preserve these beautiful memories that will last a lifetime is the ultimate reward. Congratulations again to Kate and Drew on a gorgeous wedding and an even more beautiful love story!
