What To Wear To A Photo Shoot

Whether you’re dressing for a family session or a professional headshot, here are some things you should take into consideration when choosing your outfit:

Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.

When selecting your clothes for a photo session, a great rule of thumb is simple is always better! Avoid bold colors and pieces that could date your photos. Prints and patterns can be cute, but try to stay away from anything too busy as it may be distracting in the photos.

The same goes for makeup and accessories. You want to keep it simple, natural, and true to your style.

Don’t Be Too Matchy

When planning outfits for groups in a family or corporate session, try to coordinate outfits without matching completely. Families should keep within a similar color scheme and style of clothing. Corporate sessions should decide the overall style or look they would like to achieve, such as formal, casual, etc., and make sure that everyone is consistent with their clothes to fit the style.
