Amanda and Zachary’s Philadelphia Wedding | Cescaphe’s Waterworks

One of the many things that we love about Philadelphia is the incredible architecture. There are so many buildings that carry a rich history to go with their elaborate design. It’s no wonder so many couples choose to say “I Do” in the City of Brotherly Love!
Amanda and Zachary knew they wanted some of this stunning architecture in the background of their wedding day photos. This is why they chose to exchange their vows at Water Works, a historic location recently acquired by Cescaphe Event Group.
Water Works is situated near the base of the Art Museum. The entire area is reminiscent of ancient Greece, plus unobstructed views of the Schuylkill River, and is just a short distance down the Ben Franklin Parkway from City Hall and the rest of Philadelphia.
Amanda and Zachary took full advantage of their venue’s location! They had an adorable First Look at City Hall (Zachary’s face when he saw his bride for the first time was too cute!) before traveling down to Merchant’s Exchange in Old City. Amanda looked stunning in her Inbal Dror dress, and we couldn’t get Zachary to take his eyes off her (thank goodness for that!)
The sunlight shone brightly the entire day, and you could tell that the happy couple was soaking it all up. We love all the moments of Zachary looking adoringly at his love. We were lucky to have Cinemacake Filmakers by our side, beautifully capturing these moments with the couple and their families.
After our adventures around Center City, we traveled back to Water Works, where Amanda and Zachary signed their Ketubah before holding their gorgeous ceremony overlooking the water at sunset. With their family and friends around them, the couple spoke their vows, barely leaving a dry eye in the house. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour and a lively reception in a tent on the water, with Boathouse Row illuminated in the background.
Kim Rosen Events went above and beyond to transform the tent into a magnificent reception space. She and her team made sure the mood was set with beautiful decor and dramatic lighting, while guests danced the night away. The night was a huge success and the couple couldn’t have been happier!
We were so honored to play a part in Amanda and Zachary’s day! We love capturing these moments in time for them to keep for their children and grandchildren to look at some day. Preserving these memories for years to come is our most important goal. Amanda and Zachary, thank you for choosing Philip Gabriel Photography to photograph your day!
