In the past two months, Philip Gabriel Photography has been busy with some very exciting corporate and commercial photography in Philadelphia and New York. A couple of the events we photographed were even on an international scale!

Aramark, one of the largest food service providers in the world, hired us to capture the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, as well as the World Series game in New York. Needless to say, Fall 2015 was an exciting time for our whole team!

The assignment was to capture these events from Aramark’s perspective, since they provide the food service and official merchandise for these events. We spent our time photographing the many interactions of Aramark employees with their guests.

At the World Meeting of Families, Aramark was in charge of providing all of the food, merchandise, and personnel to fully service the large-scale international event. Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world, speaking dozens of different languages, were dependent upon the Aramark team throughout this momentous occasion. It was an incredible experience to be a part of the background and see how operations work behind the scenes.

For the World Series, we drove up to New York to capture Aramark’s interactions around Citifield. This was the first time that the Mets have played in the World Series since 1986.

During the game, we experienced a crowd full of excited and devoted fans, behind the counter as well as in front of it! We also were able to photograph the gorgeous VIP Tent area that featured some of Aramark’s tastiest creations with a true focus on New York’s food culture.

As a true testament to the loyalty that Aramark employees and Mets fans feel towards their team, Aramark featured one of their long-time employees, Bobby Lee, in a news article after the game. This man was a firefighter for the NYFD for twenty years, and also worked at the ball park.

Bobby Lee has been a vendor at the New York  stadiums for forty years. But the best part about his story is that he lives in Kansas City, MO! He moved there with his wife 12 years ago after he retired from the NYFD, and has been commuting to every Mets home game ever since. He is an amazing example of devotion and dedication to his team. Here is a link to the full story in Sports Illustrated.

Both events were an incredible experience, and we feel so lucky to have been able to capture the experience, especially between the employees of Aramark and the people they were interacting with. You can tell that the Aramark employees really enjoy what they do.
