A Center City Dream Wedding

Every romantic little girl at age 6 dreams of standing in that perfect dress, on that perfect day, with that perfect person, in that perfect place, watching herself taking on an exciting new life. Between all the Disney movies and adventure novels we’ve read since we were children, we can’t help loving that image of “dancing the night away ” in a gorgeous, ornate ballroom with our handsome prince. All this, wrapped up in a big white dress and a horse-drawn carriage (In Kelly’s case, a Rolls Royce will do)!
Kelly and Greg were married this Spring in Center City Philadelphia. Our gorgeous bride, Kelly, dreamed of a fairytale and got what she wished for – and then some! Her handsome prince not only danced with her but also sang her a song! And they were lucky to have two sets of grandparents at the wedding!
She walked down the aisle at Old Saint Joseph’s Church and they danced the night away at their reception at the Marriott Downtown.
We were so excited to work with this couple and capture all the incredible moments that occured as their perfect wedding day unfolded. Kelly and Greg were so genuine and lovely – we had such a great time photographing their interactions with eachother and their friends and family who came to join the celebration.
It was an awesome day and an incredible party! On one of her Instagram posts, Kelly later wrote, “…it was the happiest day of my life.”
Our Favorite Moments:
There were so many wonderful moments throughout the day we were able to capture.
We loved when Kelly’s dad saw her for the first time in her dress, the bubble-reception after the ceremony, and Greg singing to Kelly with all of his groomsmen at the reception, but our favorite moments were the ones with the grandparents.
It’s obvious by the way they talked to them, how much Kelly and Greg loved having their grandparents around. It’s so beautiful to see two people who love and respect their grandparents and go out of their way to make them feel special on their own special day.
After the usual parent dances, Kelly even stood up with her grandfather and they had their own dance together! It was so sweet, he was tearing up the dancefloor! You could barley tell he was a grandfather!
It was so wonderful working with Kelly and Greg and we are so honored that they chose us to document their day. We loved being a part of it and seeing their lovely family and friends as they celebrated their new life together.
We’re so excited to share their pictures with them. Thank you Kelly and Greg, we can’t wait to see you again soon!
