The Logan Hotel: Philadelphia’s New Hotspot!

Posted on July 7th, 2015 in Weddings by Gabe Fredericks

After many years of photographing various events at the Four Seasons hotel located at One Logan Square and having the pleasure getting to know the amazing staff, we were sorry to hear that they were closing their doors.

Since the hotel’s opening in 1983, the Four Seasons has challenged the city’s standards of quality and luxury and has been raising the bar ever since. Their incredible staff, hotel accommodations, and commitment to providing the finest service, is unparalleled. We a little saddened to leave the fabulous Four Seasons team behind and all the close relationships that we have built with them.

We weren’t sad for long! The former Four Seasons Property has been announced to open this Fall as the Logan. We didn’t know much about the new management and the look of the new hotel, but in recent news, we have discovered that a large portion of the Four Seasons team that we adore so much, was rehired and will continue to work at the new property!

We can’t tell you how excited we are that some of our close associates, such as Lori Amery (Director of Catering) and Eric Allan (Asst. Director of Catering), are staying! Guests of the Logan, can rest assured knowing that the same people who took such amazing care of them at the Four Seasons, will continue to provide them with their phenomenal services at the original property. Our friends at the Logan informed us that the banquet staff has also been rehired to assure the events remain at the same level of excellence as they have in the past. Allan said that the food and beverage will be even better than before and, “elevated to a whole new culinary innovative level.”

We were itching to see the Logan’s new look and we got lucky! They sent us the renderings of the new spaces and we are so excited to share these sneak-peak renderings with you!

Of the new hotel, Amery says, “the hotel will have a distinctly Philadelphia feel, with a beautifully curated and robust art collection focusing on local artisans.” The team appears to be very excited about the artistic new look.

The iconic courtyard is undergoing changes as well. They’re enhancing the terrance and yard to be more luxurious than ever. It will be exciting to see the courtyard when we get to photograph events again very soon.

We love the addition of Assembly, the new rooftop lounge that overlooks the Parkway and the Art Museum, and can’t wait to see the revamped lobby as well. The former Swann Lounge has been transformed into The Stenton event space, complete with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Swann Memorial Fountain and a beautiful reclaimed wood fireplace!

We’re positive the Logan will add a whole new chapter to modern luxury in Philadelphia and can’t wait to photograph there! What are you looking forward to?
